What is the Future Scholars Program?

2007 Poster
Its an opportunity for high school seniors to take college math classes for credit. Over the past five years, we've had over 30 students from 18 different Baltimore County and Baltimore City schools participate. The Department of Mathematics works with the school's counselors and math faculty to target potential participants. Students are able to register for up to three classes without tuition costs. Students are responsible for registration fees, the costs of their textbooks, and parking.  Each year ten students are chosen to be Future Scholars.

How can I participate?

All Baltimore City and County schools receive annual nomination packets the first week of February. Schools counselors and math faculty are asked to nominate advanced mathematics students. All nominated students are required to take the qualifying exam to be considered for this highly selective program.
